This site covers privacy for a living — the devices we review and where they send your audio — so our own policy will be held to the same standard: plain English, honest scope, no dark patterns. It's short because we collect almost nothing.
Section 1
What we collect
Contact form submissions. If you send us a message, the name, email address, topic, and message you provide are delivered to our editorial inbox. That's the complete list — our contact form asks for nothing else, and browsing the site never requires an account. The point of the site — see about us — is verified public information, not visitor data.
What we do NOT collect: we run no analytics cookies, no advertising trackers, and no passive profiling as of August 2026. We don't know which pages you visited, and we have deliberately built nothing that would let us find out.
Section 2
How your data is used
One purpose: responding to your message. A correction gets routed into our editorial workflow (per the editorial policy); a question gets an answer; a press or partnership request gets considered. Your email address is used to reply — not to subscribe you to anything, and not for marketing, because we send no marketing.
Section 3
Data retention
Contact messages may remain in our editorial mailbox while they are useful — an active thread, an unresolved correction, or an ongoing conversation — and are deleted when they no longer are. We don't commit to an automatic clock, so here's the commitment that matters instead: ask us to delete your message and we will, promptly and completely, without requiring a reason.
Section 4
Third parties and outbound links
We link out to manufacturer and retailer sites (product pages, pricing, support docs) so you can verify our claims — that's the whole point of the site. Those sites have their own privacy policies, their own cookies, and their own data practices; once you leave AIRecorderGuide.com, we're not a party to what happens next. We don't embed third-party trackers on our pages.
When outbound purchase links carry commission potential, that's disclosed where you click — the details live in our affiliate disclosure.
Section 5
Children's privacy
This site covers professional-grade recording hardware and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted the contact form, write to hello@airecorderguide.com and we'll delete the submission.
Section 6
Your rights
You can ask us to: access the data we hold about you (we'll tell you what's stored), correct it, or delete it. Email hello@airecorderguide.com or use the contact form with any topic — these requests go to the front of the queue, not the back. You don't need to live in a specific jurisdiction to ask; deletion is deletion.
Section 7
Changes to this policy
We currently use outbound Amazon Associates links. Clicking an Amazon link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy and cookie practices apply. If our on-site analytics, advertising, or other data practices materially change, we'll update this page and date it honestly rather than quietly re-scoping the policy.
Effective date: August 2026.
Section 8
Contact
Privacy questions, data requests, or policy feedback: hello@airecorderguide.com or the contact page. To read about how we handle information in a broader sense — sourcing, corrections, and conflicts of interest — the editorial policy is the companion document.
